Children's Museum

We are enjoying having Tom around for the month of August since he has a break from dental school. It was cloudy on Wednesday so we decided to take a trip to the Children's Museum. I went last year with some friends, but Braden was still crawling so we mostly hung out in "The Nursery", a room for babies and young toddlers. I guess a year makes a big difference because Braden tried just about everything and loved it!

Here is a family picture...there was a big wall with a hidden camera so when we walked by, we looked at the wall...and there we were!

Another exhibit was called "The Garage" and they have a car with the doors removed that the kids can climb in so they can push all the buttons and honk the horn and pretend they are in charge. Braden is an old hand at this game since he tries to sneak into the driver's seat of our car any time he gets the chance (he has the locations of the windshield wipers and hazard lights committed to memory). There were also a bunch of empty gas cans and tools so the kids can pretend they are mechanics (don't worry, there was a large sign declaring this a safe play area). Here is Braden and Daddy filling up the tank:

The top floor of the museum is a water exhibit with little pools of water and toys and pipes and sprinklers the kids can assemble. They have little raincoats for the kids to wear so they don't get soaked. Here is Braden all dressed in his little raincoat:

And here he is playing with the toys:

It must have been fun because Braden fell asleep on the way home and then took a three hour nap once we got there!
